Eckard Weber, M.D., Chairman

Dr. Weber joined Domain in 2001 as a partner where he specializes in creating companies around promising new pharmaceutical products. He has been founding CEO of multiple biopharmaceutical companies in the Domain portfolio including Acea Pharmaceuticals, Ascenta Therapeutics, Calixa Therapeutics, Cytovia, Domain Antibacterial Acquisition Corporation, NovaCardia, Novacea, Novalar Pharmaceuticals, Ocera Therapeutics, Orexigen Therapeutics, Sonexa Therapeutics, Syndax Pharmaceuticals, Tobira Therapeutics and Tragara Pharmaceuticals. He currently serves as interim CEO of Calixa Therapeutics and Sonexa Therapeutics, two seed-stage biopharmaceutical companies. He is Chairman of the Board at Ascenta Therapeutics, Ocera Therapeutics, Orexigen Therapeutics, Syndax Pharmaceuticals and Tobira Therapeutics. He was Chairman of Peninsula Pharmaceuticals until the company was

sold to Johnson & Johnson in 2005, Chairman of Cerexa until the company was sold to Forest Laboratories in January 2007, Chairman of NovaCardia until the company was sold to Merck in September of 2007, and a board member of Conforma Therapeutics and Cabrellis Pharmaceuticals until they were sold to Biogen-IDEC and Pharmion, respectively. In addition, he is a board member of BioVascular and DiObex. Until 1995, Mr. Weber was a tenured Professor of Pharmacology at the University of California at Irvine. He has over 20 years of drug discovery and development experience and has been a consultant to biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. He is the inventor or co-inventor of over 40 patents and patent applications, and he has published over 130 papers in scientific periodicals.

Stuart J.M. Collinson, Ph.D.
Partner, Forward Ventures

Dr. Collinson is a partner at Forward Ventures, a life science venture capital firm based in San Diego. Previously, Dr. Collinson was Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Aurora Biosciences Corporation where he completed a merger with Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc. Before Aurora, Dr. Collinson was Chief Executive Officer of privately held Andaris Limited where he completed a merger with Quadrant plc (now part of Elan Corporation plc). He held senior management positions at

GlaxoWellcome plc (now GlaxoSmithKline plc) and Baxter International Inc. and was a consultant with The Boston Consulting Group. Dr. Collinson is a director of Affinium Pharmaceuticals Inc., Asteres Inc., Essentialis Inc., Oxagen Limited, Tioga Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc. Dr. Collinson was awarded an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Oxford.

Nina Kjellson

Ms. Kjellson is a Partner in the Life Sciences Group of InterWest Partners, which she joined in 2002. Ms. Kjellson currently represents InterWest on the Boards of Directors of Alvine Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Trius Therapeutics, Inc. Ms. Kjellson is an observer on the boards of AkaRx, Inc., Kanisa Pharmaceuticals, MacuSight, Inc. and, Nereus Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Prior to joining InterWest, Ms. Kjellson was an

investment manager at Bay City Capital, a life sciences merchant bank, and a research associate focused on pharmaceutical and biotechnology stocks at Oracle Partners, a healthcare-focused hedge fund. She began her career conducting health policy and survey research with the Kaiser Family Foundation, a philanthropic health policy organization. Ms. Kjellson holds a B.S. degree in human biology from Stanford University.

David G. Lowe, Ph.D.

Dr. Lowe joined Skyline Ventures, a venture capital firm, in 2002 and became a partner at Skyline in 2003. Prior to joining Skyline, Dr. Lowe was employed at Genentech, Inc., a biotherapeutics company, from 1985 to 2001, where he led drug discovery activities in biologics and small molecule therapeutics. Dr. Lowe held various positions while at

Genentech, Inc. including Director of Cardiovascular Research. Dr. Lowe currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Applied Genetics Technologies Corporation, Proteon Therapeutics, and ARCA Discovery. Dr. Lowe holds B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in biochemistry from the University of Toronto, Canada

Daniel K. Turner III
Managing Director, Montreux Equity Partners

Mr. Turner is Managing Director of Montreux Equity Partners, a life sciences venture capital firm focused on building pharmaceutical and medical device companies. Mr. Turner has 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur, operating manager and venture capitalist. He founded Montreux and has been a General Partner/Managing Member since 1993. Immediately prior to founding Montreux, Mr. Turner was a Principal in the Turnaround Group for Berkeley International. Previously, he was the founding Chief Financial Officer of Oclassen Pharmaceuticals, a specialty pharmaceutical company focused in dermatology, which merged with Watson Pharmaceuticals in 1997. Mr. Turner started his career with Price Waterhouse in the high technology group. He holds a B.S. from California

State University, Sacramento (magna cum laude) and attended the M.B.A. program at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, where he has established the Turner Fellowship. Mr. Turner is a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Turner is a member of the board of directors of NeurogesX, OREXIGEN, Renal CarePartners, Somaxon, Transcept Pharmaceuticals and Tobira Therapeutics. Mr. Turner previously served as Montreux's representative to the Board of Directors of Cerexa (sold to Forest Laboratories, 2007), NovaCardia (sold to Merck, 2007), and Peninsula Pharmaceuticals (sold to Johnson &Johnson, 2005). In addition to his activities at Montreux, Mr. Turner is a member of the Board of Trustees at Woodside Priory School.

Joseph L. Turner

Mr. Turner brings over 25 years of financial management experience in the pharmaceutical industry to the board of Sequel. Mr. Turner previously served on the Board of Directors of NovaCardia. Until its sale to Gilead in November 2006, Mr. Turner was Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer at Myogen, a therapeutics company focused on cardiovascular disease. Prior to Myogen, he was at

biopharmaceutical company Centaur Pharmaceuticals, where he served as Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Before Centaur, Mr. Turner was Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Cortech, Inc. and before that spent 12 years with Eli Lilly and Company, where he held a variety of financial management positions both within the United States and abroad.

Randall E. Woods
President and CEO, Sequel Pharmaceuticals

Randall E. Woods is the President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Sequel Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Woods served in the same capacity at NovaCardia prior to its acquisition by Merck & Co. Mr. Woods brings to Sequel 35 years of experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical arena. Mr. Woods served nearly eight years as the Chief Executive Officer of Corvas International, Inc., a publicly traded biopharmaceutical company focused on cardiovascular disease and cancer. Prior to Corvas, Mr. Woods was President of Boehringer Mannheim’s US Pharmaceutical operations and spent over 20 years at Eli

Lilly & Company in sales and marketing positions. Mr. Woods served as the chairman for the advisory board of the University of California, San Diego’s Sulpizio Family Cardiovascular Center and is the incoming chair of the board of directors for BIOCOM, a life science industry association in Southern California. He also serves on the Board of Arena Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Woods received his Bachelor Degree in Biology and Chemistry at Ball State University and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Western Michigan University.
